Discover this traditional craft of the Ore Mountains, whose history dates back to the 16th century. Bobbin lace-making, once the privilege of the nobility and church dignitaries, became an important source of livelihood for thousands of families in the Ore Mountains and remains one of the most beautiful folk crafts in our region to this day.

During this course, you’ll try your hand at the basics of this delicate technique in creative workshops, learn about its history and traditional tools, and create your own bobbin lace pieces. Bobbins, bobbin sticks, pins, hooks, and specialized literature will be provided. The course is intended for anyone who enjoys creating, discovering old crafts, and spending a pleasant time in a creative atmosphere.
