Handmade lace is as much a part of the history of the Erzgebirge as the mining roots that started it all. Lace-making has been a tradition here for more than 450 years. From earning a living to the art of lace-making, bobbin lace-making has continued to develop and it is no longer just conventional yarns that are used. The Annaberg Lace Days have made a name for themselves as a “hub” for active and interested people from all over Europe: exhibitions, fashion shows, technical discussions and exquisite sales ranges have been a permanent fixture in the world of lace-making for more than 30 years.
