Enter the legendary adit below the earth’s surface with a stylish headlamp on and discover a 500-year-old mining history. The 16th-century mining complex above the right bank of the Zlatý potok stream, with its biggest adit Johannes, hides a 12-meter-high mining chamber, a labyrinth of smaller chambers connected by ladders, a low crawling corridor or flooded excavations. It is hard to find a complex of this size anywhere else in the world.

The entire Zlatý Kopec mining district has retained the authentic character of a historic mining landscape, where tin, iron, copper and zinc were mined. Here you will find the remains of old shafts and adits, opencast mines and numerous heaps.
