Topped by the famous St. Anne’s Church, the Annaberg Christmas Market in the heart of the Old Town welcomes visitors. This iconic attraction of the Ore Mountains is visited by countless guests every year.

The large market pyramid, the giant Christmas tree, elf activities for children, miners’ and traditional events, craft demonstrations, and regional culinary delights—reminiscent of meals straight from Grandma’s stove—all contribute to its special charm.

Incense candles, Christmas scents, Annaberg folding stars, over 80 lovingly decorated stalls, and atmospheric Advent and Christmas music create that unique atmosphere that visitors from near and far love and cherish so much.

The Christmas market’s offerings are complemented by the so-called “Christmas Worlds,” the “Manufaktur der Träume” (Factory of Dreams), the miners’ nativity scene in St. Mary’s Mountain Church, the Erzhammer Christmas House, as well as Advent concerts and Mettenspiele (traditional plays) in St. Anne’s Church.
