Annaberg-Buchholz is located between Oberwiesenthal and Chemnitz in a fantastic location in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ore Mountains / Erzgebirge. It is also known as the capital of the Erzgebirge region. Its foundation and history date back to the mining period of the 16th century.
